Before starting any commissioned build, I offer a project design service to help plan and refine your idea. This service covers the time and work that goes into designing a custom piece. Whether that’s a small cabinet, keepsake box, display stand, or other smaller-scale project.
Through this service, I’ll work with you to discuss design details, materials, joinery, and overall proportions to create a complete plan for your project. You’ll receive detailed drawings and measurements to review and approve before moving forward with the build.
The design service ensures that the project is thoughtfully planned and that I’m fairly compensated for the time spent developing it, even if the build doesn’t move forward. If you do decide to have the piece made, the design fee will be applied toward the total cost of the commissioned project.
