Silver maple is a common species in my area, it’s prized among woodturners because of how well it turns and the beautiful figure that is often found in the grain of the wood. It usually has a very light almost white color but can also range from yellows to dark browns.
If I didn’t know this was Silver maple, I almost wouldn’t believe it. This bowl is the darkest Silver Maple I’ve Seen. It’s lightly figured with some very nice grain variation. Measures in at 7.5”×2.5”
